# Your 2027 volleyball match-day checklist Prepared October 26, 2026 for the coming season. Confirm event requirements. ### Before the season starts - **Find the team’s source for schedules.** Ask your coach or team manager where court assignments, arrival times, work-team duties and last-minute changes will appear. Save that destination on every attending adult’s phone. - **Choose the scoring job.** Decide whether you want a family scoreboard, player-level stats or the event’s official scorekeeping record. Ask the event what system and training it requires for official duties. - **Choose one person to keep the family score.** Agree who will start each match and who can take over if that person needs to leave. A live score is useful only when someone keeps it current. - **Prepare supporters at home.** Confirm whether they want score updates, live video or both. Send account instructions before tournament morning and test the browser link together. - **Practise once.** Try a short practice match so the scorer can find point entry, correction, timeout and end-set actions. Check that team names are easy to distinguish on the screen. ### The night before - Charge the scoring phone and any separate broadcasting device. Pack the charging cable and a charged power bank. - Recheck the venue address, arrival time, parking instructions and first court assignment in the team’s chosen schedule source. - Confirm the person who will score and the backup contact. Keep the plan simple enough to explain in one message. - If video is planned, check team and event filming rules, device placement and who will run the camera. Score sharing and video broadcasting are separate tasks. ### Before first serve - Check the latest court and start-time information. - Confirm the two team names and the match format supplied by the event. If you are on official scorer duty, use the required materials and trained workflow. - Check the phone battery and your connection. Local scoring and online sharing have different connection needs; test the actual sharing connection at the court. - Start the correct match. If using CourtsideView, use Scorekeeper for a score-focused match or the appropriate registered-account tools when player stats and connected features are needed. - Open the shared view on a second device before sending it to supporters. Check the team names, set and current score. ### During the match Record each confirmed point promptly. Compare the score with the court scoreboard at natural pauses and resolve discrepancies before they grow. If you miss a rally, ask for the confirmed score instead of guessing. Keep the scorer’s screen focused on the match; use another adult for messages or camera work when possible. ### After the final point Confirm the final result before ending the match. Tell supporters that play has finished and check where the next court or start-time update will appear. CourtsideView FanView links expire 15 minutes after the game concludes, so treat them as live match links rather than permanent archives. Official scorer duties follow the event-approved system and training. CourtsideView: guest Scorekeeper is available without registration. Other features, including FanView viewing and broadcasting, require a registered account. Browser viewers need no app installation. Live sharing needs internet; video needs a broadcaster. FanView links expire 15 minutes after game conclusion. Full guide: https://www.courtsideviewapp.com/best-apps-for-volleyball-parents#2027-season-checklist
