# Hypothetical volleyball match-day workflow examples

**SYNTHETIC EXAMPLES — NOT REAL SURVEY RESPONSES**

Prepared October 26, 2026, from CourtsideView's public website and app descriptions. Every response below is an invented illustration of a product workflow. No parent, player, coach or scorekeeper supplied these answers. They are not testimonials, observed user behavior, survey results or evidence of product performance. Do not count them as participants or turn them into percentages or customer quotations.

## Example A: family scorekeeping

Hypothetical role: an adult keeping a personal score record from the sideline.

**What is the main task?**

Keep the current points, set progress and timeouts together.

**Which documented capability relates to it?**

CourtsideView's public app listing describes a score-only match with no roster required.

**What might this person prepare?**

The team names and match format, with a short practice session before first serve.

**What should this example not imply?**

It does not show that a real participant found setup easy, that scoring takes a measured number of seconds, or that the app is the event's official scoresheet.

## Example B: following from another location

Hypothetical role: an adult supporter who wants the match score while away from the gym.

**What is the main task?**

Open the shared match destination and follow scores and activity as the scorer publishes them.

**Which documented capability relates to it?**

CourtsideView describes FanView as a shared web page for the match score and activity. Its public app listing says the link expires 15 minutes after the match concludes.

**What might this person prepare?**

The match link and any required account or access steps before the match starts, plus an understanding of who is publishing updates.

**What should this example not imply?**

It is not a claim of account-free access, guaranteed connectivity, a live camera at every match or permanent replay access.

## Example C: player-stat tracking

Hypothetical role: an adult recording player actions during a match.

**What is the main task?**

Keep recorded player actions connected to the roster, lineup and score.

**Which documented capability relates to it?**

CourtsideView's player-stats page describes player tracking alongside roster and rotation context.

**What might this person prepare?**

The relevant roster and a clear choice of which actions they intend to record, rather than trying to record every possible detail at once.

**What should this example not imply?**

It does not establish that the generated stats are complete, independently verified or suitable for every coaching decision. No observer accuracy test was performed.

## Use these examples appropriately

These examples help explain product jobs. They do not establish how common those jobs are, which features customers prefer, whether customers are satisfied, or how CourtsideView performs against another app. Any future participant study must collect real voluntary responses and disclose its methods separately.

**End of synthetic examples. No participant data is included.**
